Teaching

Dr. Moyna teaches a variety of language and linguistics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. She is especially interested in the development of language skills for the professions. She has created courses on Spanish for the Sciences and translation.

In the Fall of 2019, Dr. Moyna is offering SPAN 350 and SPAN 304. If you would like information about those courses, click here. If you would like a sampling of courses she has taught before, you can find some information here.

Students in Dr. Moyna's classes get to do some pretty fun stuff, such as a podcast and a digital magazine. A selection of their work can be found here.

In 2018-19, as part of an interdisciplinary team (with Dr. Gabriela Zapata and Dr. Leonardo Lombardini), she was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Connections Grant. This pedagogical project (Growing the Heart of Texas) involved the design of four courses to teach Spanish language and culture to Agriculture students.
